Terms of Use

The Ground Rules
Welcome to HeyBoss.wtf — the anonymous wall of shame for toxic workplaces. By using this site, you agree to these terms. They're written in plain English because legal jargon is its own form of toxicity.
1. You Agree by Using This Site
If you're here — browsing, posting, dropping skulls — you agree to these terms. No checkbox needed. If you don't agree, close the tab. We won't be offended. (Okay, maybe a little.)
2. Anonymity Is Sacred
We don't collect your email, name, phone number, or IP address. A random visitor ID is generated in your browser and stays there. We literally cannot identify you.
That said, anonymity is a privilege, not a weapon. Use it to tell the truth — not to destroy someone's life with lies.
3. Your Content, Your Responsibility
Everything posted on HeyBoss.wtf is user-generated. We don't write it, we don't verify it, and we don't endorse it. When you post something, you're saying:
- ✓It's based on your genuine experience
- ✓It's not fabricated, plagiarized, or AI-generated nonsense
- ✓You understand it will be publicly visible
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform. We won't sell it or use it outside HeyBoss.wtf.
4. Don't Be the Toxic One
This platform exists to expose toxicity — not create more of it. The following will get your content removed:
- ✗Doxxing — posting someone's personal info (home address, phone number, private social media)
- ✗Threats of violence or physical harm
- ✗Harassment targeting someone's race, gender, sexuality, religion, or disability
- ✗Spam, advertising, or promotional garbage
- ✗Intentionally false accusations you know are lies
- ✗Illegal content of any kind
Honest, harsh reviews of toxic behavior? That stays up. There's a difference between "my boss screams at people in meetings" and posting their home address. Know the line.
5. We Moderate (Yes, Really)
Content goes live immediately but is subject to moderation. Our team reviews flagged content and removes anything that breaks the rules above.
We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion. We're not a government — we don't owe you a platform. But we do try to be fair.
If you see something that shouldn't be here, hit the report button. We actually read those.
6. Skull Ratings Are Opinions
The skull rating system (0-5) represents individual opinions about toxicity levels. Average ratings are calculated from user submissions. These are subjective experiences, not objective facts. A 5-skull rating means someone had a terrible time — it doesn't mean a court found the company guilty of anything.
7. No Guarantees
HeyBoss.wtf is provided "as is." We don't guarantee:
- —The site will always be available (servers have bad days too)
- —Reviews are accurate or truthful (we can't fact-check everyone's lived experience)
- —Your content won't be removed (see moderation above)
We're not liable for decisions you make based on reviews here. Don't reject a job offer solely because some stranger gave the company 5 skulls. Do your own research too.
8. Intellectual Property
The HeyBoss.wtf name, logo, skull rating system, and site design are ours. Don't copy them. User-generated content belongs to its authors. Don't scrape, reproduce, or redistribute content from this site without permission.
9. We Can Update These Terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. If we make significant changes, we'll note the updated date at the top. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms. (We'll keep them readable — no 47-page legal novels.)
10. Takedown Requests
If you believe content about you or your company violates these terms or applicable law, email us at admin@heyboss.wtf with specifics. We'll review it. Note: "I don't like what they said about me" is not a valid takedown reason. "They posted my home address" is.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will be handled through good-faith communication first. If that fails, well, that's what lawyers are for.
